Cottage Life Interactive Digital Edition

At Cottage Life I spearheaded the design and creation of the company's very first fully interactive digital edition for tablets.

The edition went on to win two Golds at the Canadian Online Publishing Awards (COPA): Best Digital Publication and The Best of Canada Digital Solution.

I was involved from the very beginning in creating the overall design for both print and digital, all the way to bringing the magazine to life with full interactivity and animation.

Section openers were commissioned to illustrator Ray Fenwick, and then brought to life with animation by myself.

Star Touch Ad Campaign

Art Direction and design for the Fall 2016 Toronto Star Touch ad campaign. The goal was to play on the strengths of The Toronto Star, which are the exclusive stories and content that are unique to it: Investigations, opinions, city coverage, etc. The campaign was nominated for a 2016 INMA award.

Results for this campaign

Daily Users: up 20% vs pre-campaign period.

Weekly Users: up 10% vs pre-campaign period.

Monthly users up 17% vs pre-campaign period.

Monthly retention up 6% for iOS devices vs pre-campaign period
