2020
I led an extensive digital redesign for the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), encompassing both the organization's primary website and its editorial publication, Landscape Architecture Magazine.
Following a comprehensive discovery and audit process, I developed a refreshed digital visual language that balanced the needs of two distinct experiences: a clear, accessible platform for ASLA's extensive organizational content, and a more expressive, editorially driven experience for the magazine.

The magazine presented a substantial design challenge of its own, requiring a flexible approach to typography, photography, storytelling, and content hierarchy that could accommodate a wide variety of articles and features.
I translated the creative direction into a cohesive design system of reusable components and page templates, giving both platforms the flexibility to evolve independently while maintaining a consistent connection to the broader ASLA identity.
The result was a contemporary, consistent foundation for ASLA's digital presence, giving the organization the tools to create and maintain new experiences as its needs evolve.
